The Brass of SG Interactive have decided to show their faces in-game once again and face all comers in the GM Shank N' Spank!



What:

Join the GMs in their Shank N’ Spank rooms and get prizes for playing!



4 GM's will be hosting these special event rooms.



Each of the 4 GMs will create two (2) 16 player Death Match rooms on Free Servers 5-8, and each room will be named after the GM hosting the room (IE: GM_Scribe).



Room Details:

Mode: Death Match

Objective: 100 Kills

Time Limit: 10 Minutes

Weapons Allowed: All

Observer Options: None

Map: Random Map



When:

Tuesday @ 4:30 PM (PDT) ~ Until the match ends



What do I get if I participate:

After each match, all participants verified on the Results Screen will receive the following prizes:



   - Valentine Chocolates x50

- Credits 200% (3 Days)



Please keep in mind that a GM must be present in the room in order for you to receive prizes, and all prizes will be distributed after the event has concluded. Only one prize package will be given out per Operator, so we ask that you please do not join a second Shank N' Spank room, as we will not be giving out two sets of prizes.



Participation for this event is on a First Come, First Served Basis.

If you miss out on the event today, don't get your gun in a knot, there will be more GM events very soon!

Cannot Connect to Server Issue

Attention Operators,

Players have been reporting that after last night's minor maintenance, they are receiving a 'Cannot Connect to Server' error message when attempting to launch Project Blackout. Although we are aware of this issue and are investigating, it may take some time for us to resolve. In the meantime, we ask that you uninstall and re-install the Project Blackout client. We've been receiving reports from players that re-installing the game has fixed this issue for them.

Update on Current Issues in Project Blackout

Greetings Operators,

This announcement is in regards to the current pressing issues in Project Blackout. We are trying to provide you with up-to-date information with the current issues and what is being done to resolve them.

1. Ranking Up and Not Earning Credits:

Since the UI Renewal patch of April 4th 2012, players have not been receiving their credits as they properly should upon ranking up. At this time, we have resolved this bug in the mini-patch that was released on April 23, 2012. If you were to rank up right now, you would receive credits for ranking you would normally.

While we had originally stated that the compensation would be distributed on the maintenance of April 25, 2012, the maintenance cycle has been pushed back one week and is currently set for May 2nd, 2012. We apologize for the delay but please be rest assured that your data has been saved and that you will be properly compensated.

2. Patching Issues, Anti-Virus Software Detecting Patch Corruption:

Since the latest patch, players were having issues when trying to patch their game clients. They would either be told that there was a corrupted file or that the WINLOCK.DLL file was being corrupted. These files were giving false positives to certain anti-virus programs, alerting them that the file could be potentially harmful. We have contacted a few of these companies and have had them white list these files as they pose no threat to your computer. Please take some time to update your anti-virus software to see if this resolves this issue for you. Other players have found that by temporarily disabling their anti-virus during the patching process, then re-enabling it once the patch has completed will resolve this issue.

3. Players Still Receiving Game Crashes Due to "Hack Use":

We are aware that players are still receiving the "hack use" notification while playing Project Blackout. Unfortunately, in this case, we again ask that you continue to send your BC.log, BugTrap.dll and DxDiag.txt files to bugreport@sgiwest.com. We have been investigating the files you've been sending us on a daily basis and we are working diligently to resolve this issue as soon as possible. Your patience and assistance is greatly appreciated.

When sending an e-mail to us, please explain what issue you are having with as much detail as possible. Any e-mail sent to us without any information on what issue you're experiencing may be overlooked!

To obtain your DxDiag information, please follow the steps below:

Step 1: Hold the Windows Key on your keyboard and press the 'R' key.

Step 2: The Run menu should appear. Type DxDiag

Step 3: Wait for the DxDiag menu to appear. Press the 'Save All Information' button in the bottom right corner or the menu.

Step 4: Rename the DxDiag file with your in-game name.

Step 5: Attach the file in an e-mail to bugreport@sgiwest.com.

To obtain your BC.log file, please follow the steps below:

Step 1: Find your Project Blackout directory (default location is C:\SG Interactive\Project Blackout).

Step 2: Find the file named 'BC.log.'

Step 3: Attach the file in the e-mail to bugreport@sgiwest.com.

To obtain your BugTrap.dll file, please follow the steps below:

Step 1: Find your Project Blackout directory (default location is C:\SG Interactive\Project Blackout).

Step 2: Find the file named 'BugTrap.dll.'

Step 3: Attach the file in the e-mail to bugreport@sgiwest.com.

4. Players Receiving the 'Video Hardware Does Not Support Shaders' Issue:

We are currently working with the developers to resolve this issue. From what we know so far, this issue is directly related to the UI Renewal patch and its compatibility with specific graphic cards. If you receive this error when logging in and haven't submitted your DxDiag.txt file yet, please e-mail us this file so that we can further investigate the issue.

To obtain your DxDiag information, please follow the steps below:

As a company full of passionate gamers, we understand how frustrating it can be to encounter technical issues when trying to play our favorite games. As these issues start getting resolved, we will definitely compensate any player that has been affected by one or more of the issues above. We will make a separate announcement in the near future regarding the details of the compensation.
